Nonprofit
Warehouse now offers high quality, custom ground
eyeglasses with Hard Resin Plastic or shatter resistant
Polycarbonate lenses. Our products are available
to government agencies, non-profit organizations,
religious outreach ministries or any other organization
that works the needy. We do not offer these products
and services to the general public.
What
our customers think:
"The need for new glasses is the single greatest
request coming to Prevent Blindness Georgia. Now,
with your new eyeglasses program, we can answer
those requests with a low-cost, quality product."
"Children's
glasses, at $38.00 with polycarbonate lenses,
are a great alternative for families whose children
have lost or broken their glasses. We're so pleased
to be able to offer this to the uninsured, working
families that we serve."

NPW
has established a network of eye care professionals
who provide eye exams and NPW's glasses to needy
school children in 23 school systems in the 13
counties surrounding Atlanta. This program is
paid for by a local non-profit service organization.
We currently are pilot testing the program for
other school systems across the state of Georgia.
NPW
working with Prevent Blindness Georgia has established
a program to provide free exams and eyeglasses
to the working poor primarily in homeless shelters.
The program was pilot tested in Atlanta and has
received funding to take the program statewide.
NPW has completed the testing of the same program
in Tennessee and it is being rolled out to other
cities beginning in July 2002.

How
it works:
We have designed a simple and easy program using
prepaid vouchers. This method allows prescriptions
to go straight from your office or the eye doctor's
office to the lab where it will be filled in 72
hours.
The
program is offered in three different versions:
| |
A
Children's program - single focus or bifocal
with prescriptions less than +/-5.25 and a
cylinder of less than 4. Vouchers available
in hard resin plastic or shatter resistant
Polycarbonate. Startup kit (for fitting and
color selection) includes 10 fashion frames
and 1 voucher. Additional vouchers can be
ordered as needed.
An
Adult's program - single focus or bifocal
with prescriptions less than +/-5.25 and
a cylinder of less than 4. Vouchers available
either in hard resin plastic or shatter
resistant Polycarbonate. Startup kit (for
fitting and color selection) contains 16
frames (8 male & 8 female styles) and
1 voucher. Additional vouchers can be ordered
as needed.
A Low Vision program - single focus
with prescriptions greater than +/-5.25
or greater than a cylinder of 4. Vouchers
are available in shatter resistant Polycarbonate
only. You must specify either the Child's
kit or the Adult kit when ordering. Startup
kit (for fitting and color selection) will
contain fashion frames, 8 in the child's
kit or 16 in the adult kit and 1 voucher.
Additional vouchers can be ordered as needed.
|
Each
startup kit contains frames, fitting instructions
and detailed information for ordering. The startup
kit must be ordered to receive the frame kit and
additional vouchers can be ordered as needed.
